We’re happy to say that business is booming! In November, as you will know, we integrated our aftermarket domain auctions into our daily snapper auctions for expired domains. The rationale was that it seemed that the expired domain auctions were stealing the limelight when there were some great names being put up for sale by you, our members, that deserved more attention.

We also made it completely free to add reserves if your name is at Netfleet meaning there’s absolutely no risk in listing even your best domain names and testing the market.

These changes had an immediate impact. From a rather meager 29 aftermarket sales in October, we recorded 106 in November. The momentum held and December, January and February all showed strong monthly increases with the numbers of sales 188, 274 and 319 respectively.

Count of Aftermarket Sales

Whilst the auctions have proven to be the big driver for aftermarket sales, the standard listings have also seen a jump in activity albeit a bit later. From just 8 standard listing sales in December, we saw 21 in January and 23 in February. Importantly, the standard listing sales have consistently significantly achieved higher prices per domains with the total value of these 44 sales over the last two months amounting to $48,892.

Suffice to say that aftermarket domains have been booming. Conversely prices at our daily expired snapper auctions have been weak over the last few months. So, it certainly seems to be a buyers’ market on the expired domains and a sellers’ market for anyone holding premium Australian domains. So get your unused premium domains added to the auction or listed in the catalogue now and check out the bargains in today’s no reserve auction!

Anyway enough of the analysis, here is another graph to illustrate the sales. Please ask any questions or let us know your feedback in the comments below!

CreditReport.com.au tops the Standard Catalogue Listing sales https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/australian-domains/creditreport-com-au-tops-the-standard-catalogue-listing-sales/ https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/australian-domains/creditreport-com-au-tops-the-standard-catalogue-listing-sales/#comments Tue, 21 Aug 2012 00:51:08 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=652 creditreport.com.au

With the sale of CreditReport.com.au this month we now have a two way tie at the top of our Top Standard Catalogue Listing Sales between CreditReport.com.au and CurrencyConverter.com.au at $27,500 (xGST and Transfer costs).

It is worth remembering that very few big sales ever get reported publicly so this is a rare opportunity for us to see the true retail value of a quality generic domain name.

The domain sale was negotiated through Netfleet’s Standard Catalogue Listing process which is currently a totally free service offered to buyer and sellers of .au domain names.

Once the sale price was agreed in mid Aug, the system exchanged the contact details for the two parties who then negotiated the payment terms and completed the Transfer (Change of Registrant) process this week.

We look forward to seeing what the new owner of this domain will do with the domain name over the next year or so.

Q&A section for every domain name listing https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/domain-tools/qa-section-for-every-domain-name-listing/ Thu, 03 Nov 2011 04:21:00 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=507 Our latest development for Netfleet.com.au has just been released – a Questions & Answers Section for every Standard Domain Listing.

All too often a buyer may have a question for the seller ahead of submitting an offer that isn’t covered in the listings description. The Q&A section on every listing allows you to ask any question surrounding the domain name, such as the traffic it receives, the revenue generated, or the age of the domain for example.

The seller then has a few options when responding the buyer:

a) Respond privately to the seller via email

b) Respond publicly to the seller – with the answer posted on the listing for others to see

c) Respond publicly to the seller – with the answer posted on the listing for others to see AND on every domain name they have for sale on Netfleet.

This is a great addition to the sales process, opening the lines of communication, and ultimately leading to a quicker sales process.  Please note, to ask a question, you must be logged in.   Furthermore, all questions and answer are moderated.

Please let us know if you come across any issues or have any suggestions

Thanks

Mark
