We hope the banners will add a bit of colour and attraction to otherwise mundane affiliate links, and help push referrals, and increase your affiliate revenue.

The below images all have example HTML you can use, however, it is extremely important that you update with your unique affiliate ID otherwise you will not be attributed to the referral. In the HTML, simply replace the part that says <REPLACE_THIS_PART> with your unique affiliate ID you obtained when you signed up to the Affiliate Program.

Netfleet Alerts – New Tool To Track Domains/Industry/Niches https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/australian-domains/netfleet-alerts-new-tool-to-track-domainsindustryniches/ Thu, 17 Mar 2011 05:00:10 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=119 Tired of sifting through lists and lists of domains? Only interested in a specific industry or niche? Well, you’ll be happy to know we’ve developed a brand new tool to help – Netfleet Alerts. The Netfleet Alert service monitors domains added to Netfleet for sale, or that are due to expire and appear in our Snapper Auctions, and emails alerts based on the keywords or domain names entered:

http://www.netfleet.com.au/alerts

You don’t need to register with Netfleet to use it, you just enter your industry/niche keywords or domains and away you go. If a positive match is found, it will email you matches, and direct you to where you can acquire the domain, which is either Snapper Auctions, Aftermarket Auctions or Standard Catalogue Listings. Ideal for those of you who don’t want to continually check for certain domains – you just enter their domain or keyword, and forget about it. The Netfleet Alerts service will keep tabs for you.

Any feedback, bugs or suggestions, please add a comment here!

Thanks
Mark

Domain Snapper Auctions Affiliate Program https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/expired-domains/domain-snapper-auctions-affiliate-program/ Tue, 01 Mar 2011 01:05:25 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=95 After a successful release of Stage 1 of our Affiliate Program, we are happy to annouce Stage 2 – the much anticipated affiliate program for our Domain Snapper Auctions.

We felt that a strong commission structure was essential to jump start the Domain Snapper Auctions affiliate program, that’s why we have made it possible for you to earn a huge 30% commission of the winning bid in the Domain Snapper Auctions from your referrals (if we snap the domain of course!).

As an example, earlier this month we successfully snapped PetInsurance.com.au for our client who won the auction with a high bid of $16,223 AUD. Should you have referred that client, you would have earned a 30% commission, and we would be writing you a cheque for a whopping $4,866.90 AUD – and that’s just for one domain. In addition, that same referred client would be attributed to you for a whole 12 months – meaning you could keep on earning for the entire year!

How To Become An Affiliate

To become an affiliate with Netfleet of Netfleet, logon to the Members Area and choose the Affiliate Program. Carefully read the terms and conditions of the affiliate program, and follow the prompts to activate your affiliate account. It’s that simple. Once activated, you will see your unique affiliate link, suggested links and banners, and the all important revenue and statistics for your affiliate account to date.

Your affiliate hyperlink will look similar to this:

http://www.netfleet.com.au/?auid=9283

Once you have your unique affiliate hyperlink, you can email it to prospect clients, put it on your website, tweet it on Twitter, post on Facebook, add to forums – the list goes on. If an interested party clicks on your link, and goes through to Netfleet, we attempt to track the referral using cookie technology and you will be attributed to the referral on sign up.

If you have already activated your Netfleet affiliate account – don’t worry – your unique affiliate link works for all affiliate programs. Just keep on doing what you have been doing!

The Commission Structure

The following details the commission strucutre for the Domain Snapper Auctions affiliate program:

Tier Commission Entry Point
1 10% Available immediately.
2 20% $2,000 AUD or more of combined winning bid value in a calendar month.
3 30% $3,000 AUD or more of combined winning bid value in a calendar month.

Full details can be found in the Members Area under the Affiliate Program section:

If you have any questions, need help with activation, or how to use your unique affiliate link, please get in touch and we would be happy to assist

Become a Domain Affiliate with Netfleet https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/affiliates/become-a-domain-affiliate-with-netfleet/ Sat, 23 Oct 2010 10:00:08 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=466 Are you interested in becoming an affiliate of Netfleet, and make money by referring clients?

We are excited to let you know we have just opened up Stage 1 of our affiliate program. This is your chance to earn some dollars by simply referring people to Netfleet.

In brief, Stage 1 of our program is for our Aftermarket Auction referrals, and as a special introductory offer, we’re prepared to split the final sales commission right down the middle with you on any buyer you refer that wins a domain in our Aftermarket Auctions (50% / 50%). Our current commission on Aftermarket Auctions is 8%, so if a referred client wins with a high bid of $2000, you get $80.00.

The next stages of our affiliate program will involve many other revenue streams on Netfleet. If you refer a client today, your account will be attributed to the future affiliate programs we open up. Of course, only one person can be credited with a referral, so the sooner you act, the better!

Full details can be found in the members area on Netfleet, and when you activate your program, you can see all sorts of statistics on referrals, including the all important revenue earned!

Netregistry, Hostess and PlanetDomain onboard & Internet Censorship in Australia https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/affiliates/netregistry-hostess-and-planetdomain-onboard-internet-censorship-in-australia/ Fri, 20 Mar 2009 22:36:47 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=349 A couple of points of interest in this newsletter. Firstly, we are happy to annouce that your domain names are listed with two of the biggest registrars in Australia, Netregistry and Hostess. A third is due for release in the near future – an equally big player, PlanetDomain. Also in this newsletter we will touch on the controversial proposed internet filter in Australia, and the implications this may have on you.

Netregistry, Hostess and PlanetDomain Namespinner

We’re delighted to let you know that domain names for sale on Netfleet are now being displayed with registrars Netregistry and Hostess. Currently if a user attempts to register a domain on Netregistry, Hostess and shortly PlanetDomain (imminent!), and their attempt is unsuccessful, they will be presented with an option to purchase premium domains listed for sale on Netfleet.

For example an attempt to register tennis.com.au will display alternatives such as sydneytennis.com.au, tennisracket.com.au and tennisshop.com.au available for purchase right now.

This will result in many thousands of potential domain buyers being shown your domains for sale and, we hope, should greatly increase the sales activity on Netfleet.

However not all domains will be displayed in this way. Domains must be categorised with relevant keywords and display a target price of less than $10,000. It is our belief that only a small fraction of domains listed on Netfleet are worth more than 5-figures anyway but more importantly we believe that it would be very unlikely to convert someone expecting to pay $40 for a new registration into an aftermarket buyer spending more than $10,000. So, if you want to ensure your domains take advantage of this feature, log in to the Member Area

Australia’s Internet Censorship

It started out as a method to prevent circulation of child pornography on the internet – the federal government’s internet censorship proposal.

The original intention was to protect Australian children by limiting access to child pornography. Of course who would argue with that noble cause. However, the point is, child pornography hardly exists on the internet. In 15 years of internet access I have never witnessed anything of the sort. The fact remains that child pornography is shared through file sharing networks and never published on the internet. So the whole underlying motive for the move is completely flawed. Add that to the fact it can be easily bypassed, may accidentally block up to 1 in 12 legitimate sites & will potentially slow Australian internet speeds to a crawl and it was never looking like a great idea.

In recent developments, the website Wikileaks.org reportedly published the list of sites that were on the government’s black list. This drew the ire of Stephen Conroy, the communications minister who made the following points in the same interview:

“This is not the ACMA blacklist……………..Any Australian involved in making this content publicly available would be at serious risk of criminal prosecution”

So it’s not the ACMA’s list but you may be punished if you link to it anyway. And we can’t tell you what not to link to because it’s secret.

Additionally, certain pages of the website that leaked the list (Wikileaks.org) have been placed on the blacklist itself. In the words of the site that leaked the list:

“The first rule of censorship is that you cannot talk about censorship”.

So from an original justification to limit the scourge of child pornography the filter’s proponents are now blocking anti-censorship websites. Is this really Australia in 2009? For more information we’ve gathered some useful links here

Netfleet partners with Netregistry https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/affiliates/netfleet-partners-with-netregistry/ Mon, 29 Dec 2008 19:03:10 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=315 We are happy to announce that Netregistry, Australia’s leading domain name
provider, has partnered with us in a joint venture to expand and improve on our Netfleet domain trading site.

“We see significant growth in this area”, says Larry Bloch, CEO of Netregistry.

“Currently our efforts are focused on education as much as anything – most people do
not even realise that domain names are now tradeable assets so it’s a question of
creating the industry as well as satisfying the demand.”

This is the first real push by a major IT company into this sector. Bringing together the
existing proprietary technology of our current website with the massive customer base
of the Netregistry group, we expect to cement Netfleet as the leading destination for
domain name trading.

We hope to attract thousands of new
listings by capitalising on Netregistry’s customer base of over 250,000 businesses.
We are confident by joining forces, we can emulate and improve upon the successes of overseas
trading platforms such as Sedo.com, albeit with smaller numbers (Sedo currently lists
nearly 12 million domains for sale).

We are very excited for the future of Netfleet.com.au, and of the .au domain aftermarket as a whole. By partnering with Netregistry we will be bringing you
more domain names for sale, more domain buyers, more site features and we will continue our attention to detail and customer driven focus.

As ever, please keep in touch, and keep your eyes on the site! Here’s to 2009!

TRAFFIC Down Under Reviewed https://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/australian-domains/traffic-down-under-reviewed/ Sat, 22 Nov 2008 18:34:14 +0000 http://www.netfleet.com.au/blog/?p=281 The first ever TRAFFIC conference held outside of the US has now finished and was considered a fantastic success by all attendees (some experienced conference-goers were saying the best ever!).

Held at the Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast and hosted by the guys and girls at Fabulous, the event passed off spectacularly despite sometimes inclement weather and a few technical hiccups.

As the first domaining conference I’ve attended, it was a real eye-opener to see so many professionals in this industry coming together and making connections.  If I ever needed any confirmation that domaining could bring seriously significant opportunities then this was it.

Around 200 people attended the conference in the end about 40% of which were Australians, many of whom were attending a show like this for the first time.  It was especially interesting to see how many people have been and were actively investing in .au.  I guess because of tighter regulations in the past (ie prohibition of sale, ‘close & substantial connection’ rules) and the lack of organised get-togethers like this the .AU market has maintained a fairly low profile, however this event may be the event that turns that on its head.  Interestingly, we have seen a definite increase in activity on Netfleet since the conference, with offers on domain names coming thick and fast.

The fantastic sales results obtained for the com.au domains in the live auction and important relationships forged will surely mean that this little industry will go from strength to strength.
To find out more and see the latest pictures from the event, visit the official TRAFFIC Down Under site and check out Simon Johnson’s reviews & images at Domainer Income.
