We are happy to annouce that your domain name listings will soon be advertised on Netregistry.com.au in the form of our proprietary domain name spinner. This new initiative will greatly increase the exposure of your domain name listings, using a targetted approach to promote your listings during the new domain registration phase.
What is the Name Spinner?
When a user looks to register a new domain name on Netregistry, and finds the domain name to be already registered (unavailable), the Netfleet name spinner will search the Netfleet database for similar listings to the domain they entered, and return a list of premium domain suggestions to the user as an alternative (see the screen shot below for an example).
Which domain names will be shown?
Every domain name on Netfleet has the chance to appear in front of thousands of Netregistry users. There, are two factors however that influence this:
1. Target Price on Netfleet must be below $5,000 AUD.
2. The domain name will only appear on Netregistry if it is relevant to the users search, for example, searching for tennis.com.au on Netregistry will return the domains on Netfleet that are similar to keyword “tennis”, such as, mytennis.com.au, sydneytennis.com.au, tennislessons.com.au
And its thats simple. So, to get your domain name in front of thousands more buyers, ensure your target prices are competitive (without selling yourself short, of course).
This new initiative should be released in March 2009.
