It’s been a while since the last regular newsletter so we thought it’s about time to update with what’s going on at Netfleet.com.au and the .au aftermarket as a whole.
Domain Sales & Statistics
Over at Ausregistry you can see all sorts of reports on Australian domain names. The .au namespace is certainly experiencing tremendous growth in all areas with registrations up nearly 50% on last year, sales up 40% and the total number of registered domains steadily bearing down on the 2,000,000 milestone. This is fantastic growth when you consider that the magic 1,000,000 mark was only reached in 2007.
Our own statistics reflect this trend having recorded a very solid month for March. We recorded 46 individual sales for a total value of $64,356 which is a great result for both buyers and sellers on Netfleet. We are still not charging any commissions on sales so, with the current high level of activity, there has never been a better time to list any names you would consider selling, or buying up some names to take advantage of this investment boom. Please have a look below for a chart of sales and activity on Netfleet (note: this only includes the public sales, some private sales would be in addition to this data) |

Domain Snapper Auctions
We’ve been running the Domain Snapper Auction service for just over a month now and are happy to say the service has exceeded our expectations by catching some fantastic names at really great value prices for our customers.
A few recent successful snaps for our clients and their winning bids include: WebProfessional.com.au – $13 TravelCash.com.au – $35 Prepare.com.au – $101 OnlineHolidays.com.au – $16 As a reminder, Domain Snapper Auctions run daily where Netfleet members have the opportunity to bid for the right to register domains that are about to become available (previously registered domains that have expired and are to be released back into the public pool). Some of these domains names can be very valuable so competition to snap up these domains is fierce. That’s where our Domain Snapper technology comes in to secure you an advantage and attempt to register the domain within a few milliseconds of it becoming available. Of course, it’s a no win, no fee service so if, for whatever reason, the Domain Snapper fails to secure the name for you, you pay nothing. Each day there are around 500 imminently dropping domain names to browse so if you haven’t already, check out today’s auction at: http://www.netfleet.com.au/index.php?a=expiring All the best, The Netfleet Team |
